Q: What is myGeoBook?

myGeoBook is an application that allows you to save your favorite places on maps you create using our facebook application.

You can then share your favorite places with selected friends or make them available on your website, blog or mobile - all from the same map.

myGeoBook offers users and businesses a simple yet effective way to map anything of interest.

The platform and all the user specific information is stored centrally on high performance servers and can be accessed from anywhere including Facebook , corporate websites , mobile phones and Layar .

Q: What is a point of interest?

A: A POI is a location/place on a map. Can be any geographic locations like your favorite restaurants, bookstores, stadiums, ski slopes and much more.

Q: How do I create a point of interest?

A: Right click on the map where you want the POI to be or enter the address and click the Add Geomark button.

Q: What does myGeoBook cost to use?

A: myGeoBook is free to use for private individuals, journalists, news media and bloggers. Commercial entities pay based on usage. Read more...

Q: Can I upload my own icons and images?

A: You can upload a map icon (will be resized to 16x16 pixels) for your maps that shows all GeoMarks with this icon. You can also upload a thumbnail for each GeoMark (30x50pixels) and up to 10 large images (1000x1000pixels) per thumbnail.

Q: Can I upload a list of point of interest?

A: You can upload a comma separated file with your GeoMarks. You can download a template file on the upload page that you can use to prepare your data. When you save the template it must be saved using an encoding called UTF-8. This is a bit technical but that is a requirement when uploading files via Facebook. Follow these steps...
